April Family Day Frag Swap and garage sale List

If you are a Razorback Reef Club member and want to bring some Frags or equipment for trade or sell at the April cook out, list what you'll be bringing here. You can set up a table or just have a few deli cups or bags, it's all up to you. If you decide to bring a set up, all preparation will be up to you. Let's see whatcha got.

 

I might list more items, but here are two for now.

This brain coral is red & blue, with hints of green. I payed a little over $40 for it at the Fish Bowl last November. I love this coral, but I am running out of room in this tank, and it has killed two other corals, (including the brain coral we got at the meeting in December). It'll probably be this Fall before I have my larger tank up and running, so I'm not sure that I can house this in my current system for much longer. If someone wants to trade something of equal value, I'd be open to that.


This is a chili pepper monti and an orange monti growing on the same frag. I'll sell it for $10, or I am open for trades.

I also have two 40 gallon breaders that have been broken down, I was going to get them cut to be shallow tanks but am now going in a different direction. Id take $40 for both or trade.

John, the monti is yours. Greg, I'll text in just a minute, & Shawn, I dunno about the palys. The desert storm palys I got from Greg are twice as fat as these. Maybe it's the wavebox? I dunno. My tank has always had really high flow. I dunno if that has anything to do with it.

I don't know if it's going to graft together or not. I'm hoping that it does, but it was my first time to try it. I think the cut has to be just perfect, which these were pretty close to being exactly the same. If I had a purple monti, I would try it though. And I think you can do it maybe with chalices, but I'm not sure. I've not had much luck with chalices at all. The one I got from the frag shop seems to be the same size. I thought about putting it up for sale. It's just on my frag rack, and I don't really have a place for it in this tank.

 

I need to post a photo of the birds nest that I got from Greg too. That little frag has turned into a beast!

 

I got both of these frags from Greg. There was only like one stem to two stems on these when I got them, and they turned into this. I thought my birds nest was the one on the right, but I think the one on the left looks more like David's photo.

 

Glad you like my frags, the left is a neon green pocillpora and the right is a neon green birdsnest. Just shows you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for a frag, unless your at Shawn's (that what you get for trying to get the brain). Thanks Allen...

 

Haha. The next time a meeting is close, I'll drive by and see what you've got. I am still blown away by all of the frags you had in the 125, and then the awesome display tank.

 

That 125 hase been converted back to a display tank but I still have frags

 

I'll have to check out the new display. I think it was like last September when I came by.

That green birdsnest looks great. I used to have a colony of it. By the way what ever happened to that birdsnest Greg????
