Any beekeepers here?

    Im gonna try my hand at keeping bees I suppose. I have most of my stuff except for bees. Anyone know where I can locate some?

    They usually hang out around flowers. Shady bunch they are. Always buzzin on about something. LOL. Just jerkin your chain. I have no idea where to get them, but I know you can't beat honey straight from the comb. We will be expecting some at a meeting later this year.[​IMG]

    my neighbor keeps bees, and make some delish honey! I can ask him if you'd like. You might run an add in the paper or somewhere, lots of business and private homes look for people to come and relocate bees when they become nuisance.

    When I was in High School I worked for Sterling and Son Honey Co. We worked 450 hives and I can help you with putting a bee yard together and maybe locations to look for. I made all the divisions and as the grunt of the operation, the building of hives, requeening, and extracting the honey. Be glad to talk to you anytime.

    I have ordered a 3lb package thats slated to be shipped April 12th. I now have a book that I will start reading tonight. Fisher we need to get together sometime!

    My partner and I have beehives. They're more his thing than mine. He's secretary of the Central Arkansas Beekeeper's Association. We can definitely get you hooked up with information. I know CABA holds beginner beekeeping classes once in a while.
