Good golly Ms. Molly?

    You probably didn't expect to see that in a reef tank.

    that's how we used to cycle tanks back in the day, great algae eaters

    Actually Doc that is why I bought them. I'm thinking about putting some in the frag tank.

    Yeah, I was teasing. I've heard conflicting reports whether they actually eat the stuff or not. My tank is new enough I think I need to give it a little more time. NO3 and PO4 are fine so hopefully it will resolve without further changes.

    The Dalmatians and Black ones started picking at it right away.

    How come I didn't QT them? Why did I buy the freshwater Mollies and acclimate them myself vs. buying saltwater mollies? The answer is the same. Freshwater diseases wont live in saltwater. If I bought saltwater Mollies I would need to QT them.

    I knew they could tolerate brackish but didn't know you could do full on salt! That's interesting.. how long did you acclimate them?

    I dont know. 3-4 hours. I wasnt paying attention lol
