what salt mix is everyone using now? I am getting low and trying to decide if I want to stick to the fritz or maybe try something new.
I haven't had any problems. It is easier for a person to blame a product than to blame themselves of mother nature. Especially in this hobby. All it takes is one person to say their tank crashed while using RPM and a bunch of other people will claim the same thing. The teuth is though, it could be a lot of things thst caused the crash. Heaters are probably the #1 tank killer yet if a person did a water change the day before their heater fried their tank they would blame the salt. There are too many absolute stunning tanks and major coral businesses operating on Fritz RPM for there to be a major problem with the salt.
I have been using NeoMarine made by Brightwell Aquatics for the past 4 to 5 years with good results. After going to MACNA this past year and speaking with the guys at Foster And Smith I thought I would give there new salt LiveAquaria Professional Reef Salt a try. I can recommend both of these salts because they mix very clean, will not precipitate out of solution and most importantly match the parameters of my tank.
There has been speculation that the live aquaria salt and the fritz salt are the same just under different names. Idk if it true or not.
