I am going to ask Vanessa at The Fish Tank in Little Rock to order me a box of Fritz RPM (Reef Pro Mix) salt this week. Does anyone else was a box , bucket, or any other size? No one in the Little Rock area carries it but I would rather order it from one of our sponsors like @TFTank than buy it online. Also, I figure it is easier for her to order several of them than just one box although she has ordered a single box for me in the past. John
Getting back in the hobby. I am going to need salt and on a budget. How is Fritz? I was really not wanting to pony us TropicMarin prices, but was unsure about going to ReefCrystals.
I don't doubt that about RC. I started a tank after a year of research about 10 years ago. Followed the TM hype. Loved it. Realized after I got out that TM Pro would have been a better choice. On a 90, it was expensive, but not so much so. On a 175, yeah, I just doubled my order. Time to re-think the salt snobbery. ;-)
I used RC for a couple of years I finally changed because it mixed to a much higher alkalinity than I wanted to run and it left a brown residue in the mixing tank. About to set up a mixing station and don't want to deal with the residue.+
Fritz RPM (Reef Pro Mix): Salinity 35 ppt (1.025 sg) Calcium 440 ppm Magnesium 1425 ppm Alkalinity 8.5dKH Strontium 9ppm Potassium 400 ppm
Nice. Very nice. Price point? I will need enough to fill a 175 with a 40 gallon sump. As well as maintenance changes
Sorry, I got tied up and didn't have her make the order. I will call in the morning. Last Call! @huntindoc , do you still want a bucket?
Awesome. I need to clean my 55g with water and vinegar. Who knows by the end of the month, I may have water in a box.
