Beautiful fish! Love the blue on that wrasse. Bummer on the Acan, maybe it'll pull through. It looks like it still has good color. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ups and downs continue. Parameters have gotten a lot more stable in the last two months. Colors and growth rates have picked up. Downs include waking up one morning to find my 6" Maxima dead! May stay clam-less for a while. The acan I got with a group buy from ASD is rebounding nicely My male clown has decided to use the Magician Paly's I got from John as a host....they don't seem impressed. Hopefully he will give up on that as the female shows no interest. A few growth comparisons. Chilli Pepper (from Greg) 2/25 and 7/6 /
Bonsai acro 1/21 and 7/6. Can't get a pic with true colors on this coral for some reason. War Coral from Alan 3/15 and 7/6 Green acro 1/21 and 7/6. Color is a lot better on this one in real life.
Trying Allan's recommendations but fish are HARD to photograph. Lineatus and Vrolik's wrasse. My Watanabei angel being cleaned. Pink Margin fairy wrasse.
I love the war coral I got from Allen, mines growing crazy like yours and now it's getting purple streaks.
Wow, I hadn't noticed the purple streaks until you said that! I don't remember seeing it on the mother colony. Today
Looking great! Mines already back to the size before we fragged it. I'm pretty sure mine has the purple on it, I'll have to look & see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And the photos look great. Fish are really hard to catch. The faster the shutter speed, the better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
\ I don't have a great lens so especially if I zoom in I have to increase the ISO so much just to get a decently fast shutter speed. Looking in to a better lens. Any recommendations for a Nikon 3000. How low do you need to go (current is 5.6 I think)?
I'll try to read up on that camera. How many megapixels is it? Sometimes it's better to take the photo with no zoom and then crop it closer in photoshop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
After two tries I finally got a healthy White tail bristletooth tang. Final tank transfer tomorrow morning and a couple of rounds of Prazipro and he will be ready for the DT. He's eating mysis, Larrys Reef Frenzy and Nori great.
