Alright y'all I got a weekend panned going to Hamilton the weekend of may 17 and I have someone that can feed my fish, I was wondering if there is kind of a home-made \cheap way to do a ato my eshopps RS 200 has a gravity fed ball valve in it to hook a gravity fed system to it. If I have to run a pressurized system is there a way to manipulate the float valve to work with pressure? Ill gravity feed it if I have to that's one less pump to buy

If it's like the float valve I use with my RO/DI unit it will work fine with pressure.

I always worry about redundancy with something like a float valve in a reef tank where snails/algae/etc. can cause it to malfunction and flood your tank with RO/DI.

edit: never mind I misread. I see you said ball valve...do you have a picture?

Haha it's a float valve I misspoke by saying ball valve it's like what you'd get for a rodi system just comes stock in the return compartment of the eshopps sump

[IMG][IMG] do you see any problems just gravity feeding it?
