Torch dying?

Ok so I got my new corals on June 8. I dipped in coral rx and seachem coral dip (iodine) and placed in a bare QT tank. On June 13 we went out of town for roughly 30 ish hours. Before this all corals looked fine (except 1 acan still doesn't look happy) and the only thing I did was add my clownfish to the QT tank before leaving. Last night I noticed one of the torches sort of sucked in but I figured that was because I hadn't left the lights on (for fear of bleaching everything out) so I flipped the light on for a while. Honestly I didn't notice what it looked like before going to bed. Today when I went to turn on the lights for a while I noticed the torch even more withdrawn and about half of it looking dead. Almost with a film over it. I pulled it and dipped in furan (did this with an acan that slimed over and what hadn't slimed up healed) then dipped in the seachem iodine dip (since that supposedly helps to heal after fragging, thought I'd try it) then replaced in the QT. It is completely withdrawn right now but about 1/3ish of it is still fluorescent and seems to be alive. The rest looks mostly like skeleton with some tissue in the center.

    What could have caused this?

Does anyone know what actually happened?

How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

Will this spread to the other corals in the QT?

What ended up happening here or did you ever find out?

That one died and one side of the 2 head one died the same way.

Honestly I think my clown may have had something to do with it. I'd just put her in the same tank and then it happened. She is all over her hammer all the time and I think she was doing the same to the torches. That's just a guess though. Makes me sad. The orange tip one was my favorite! :(

    Hiya,

Looks like brown jelly disease. No idea how it starts, but once it hits it's hard to cure.

I really think the clown did it. That slime in the picture is the dead half of the hammer tissue. And it happened right after I added her to the same tank.
