So I'm back at the hotel after wrapping up the show at The Aquatic Experience in Chicago, IL. It was a cool mix of SW and FW and we had a blast catching up with vendors we hadn't seen since MACNA. We also added several new LFS to our dealer network while on site, which makes the trip even more worthwhile.

One of the highlights was being invited to Bill Wann's house Friday night to see his 20,000 gallon reef. Bill has been using LRS for a few months now and invited us to his home to see his tank. He has actually been trying to get our first hand feeding demo filmed underwater while diving in the tank but he has gotten bit so many times he told me to come do it myself. Ummm, I think I'll pass.

If you have not seen any of the videos about is tank it is pretty amazing. Bill is literally a genius who builds, repairs and installs mass spectrometers for the medical industry. One day he woke up and decided to construct a massive home reef tank. Bill installed all the plumbing, equipment, and rock work himself. He fabricated the skimmers in his shop as well as built and programmed the controllers for all the automation. He now has applied for a patent on this skimmer design and they are available for purchase. It was truly impressive to see it in person and the pics do not do it justice. There is still a lot more dry rock on site and the aqua-scape is not finished. We have been so lucky to see some incredible tanks this month that's for sure!

    Enjoy!
