I was on lunch at work, surfing the Unique Coral site. I ended up placing an order.

I've been wanting to do a zoa/paly garden at the lower rock work of my tank. I already have some Hawaiian Sunsets, Magician Palys, Sunny D's, Green Palys, and the pink zoas we got from the meeting. Just trying to expand.

I'm hoping the Red Planet does well in my tank. The Green Slimmer is doing good. I have been wanting the Red Planet for awhile, and I'm going to try it.

The eagle eyes are always awesome. No matter how high-end I go in the zoa/paly direction, I always must have a frag of eagle eyes and radioactive dragon eyes. They are cheap, hardy and awesome to look at.

I agree. I've had both of those in my other tank. They are classic, and are hardy. I'm afraid some of these others will melt. All of the other zoas and plays are doing great in this tank so far. So hopefully that's a sign. If the red planet does well, and I can find some kind of hardy blue sps, I'll be happy. I'm trying to add corals to this tank that I think will look awesome as colonies. I'm thinking the Duncan is on its way to be basketball size. It keeps adding heads.

So I was googling Duncan colonies, and ran across this one. All you can see is tentacles. I think it's pretty sick looking. All the Duncan's I've ever seen, you could see the mouths.

Nice! I agree on the Eagle Eyes and Radioactive Dragoneyes. I have both. Whippet guy is a great source for the Radioactives!

Does anybody have a superman monti? From what I can tell by reading, I should put them in low light?

I have one but it's not colored right in my tank. Polyps are more orange than red and the skin is too dark. It is getting better though.

They are supposed to be here this morning. I'll post photos when they get settled in. Hopefully it wasn't too cold to have them shipped. The weather has been milder, but it is pretty cold this morning.

If they came with a heat pack it should be good. I got my package from AquaSD yesterday and it did pretty well. I actually ordered Eagle Eyes and Radioactive dragon eyes in this order plus a ton of other stuff =).

AquaSD sent a lot of great frags for one of our meetings. I wasn't sure if their website was working, because it has a date on the pages that says "last updated on" and has a date of several months ago. I know they do all kinds of online auctions. I need to order some pieces from them. They usually have some cool coloration on their corals.

Will has gone pretty much just Live Sales and Ebay. There is very little on his site. His Live Sales generally last about 1.5 hours so its not too bad at all. He always throws in a good number of Freebies =). If I can't take off for Corals For Charity in March, I probably will just buy the last of my stuff from him or Worlds Under Water, they have been getting rock flowers too.

I have been researching rock flowers. I've got some spots for them in the tank.

I've got all the new corals in (& a peppermint shrimp to bump the order up to free shipping).

All of the zoas are working on opening. The superman monti's polyps are fully extended. It is beautiful. I've got it on the bottom, in a shaded area. Hopefully this is a good spot. It has room to encrust up and along the rocks here.

The red plant is working on extending its polyps. Hopefully this spot works. It would be the centerpiece coral if it grows out here.

What color is your red planet currently?

It's kinda hard to tell. My lights are kinda a weird this time in the morning. Looks a like a pinkish blue right now, and I can see some green.

I'm still learning how to shoot my corals under the Radions. I tried to make the colors as accurate as possible. I didn't shoot photos of all the new zoas, but they are all opening and seem happy. I'm very satisfied with this order from Unique Corals. Everything looks great.

You can also see the Eagle Eyes in the background. The magician palys were almost gone in my other tank. They were growing in a shaded area, and I had forgot about them. I put them in this tank, and they are bouncing back nicely.

Beautiful Al! I'm wanting a red acro. Anxious to see how this one does for you. What is the paly on the sand bed in the first picture?

That's the red people eater. I've had them in other tanks, and they've been mostly red with some blue. But these have a lot of blue in them, and I like them!

If I can get the red planet to grow, I will for sure get y'all frags. I haven't had much luck in my other tank with sps sticks, but I'm hoping this tank will be different.

David, that duncan you saved for me from a meeting a while back is starting to go crazy. It only had one head when you gave it to me, and only got about 4 heads when I had it in my other tank. I added it to this tank, and it is going crazy. It now has over 20 heads. I'm just going to let it grow as big as I can.

Wow that is crazy growth! Mine started with two heads and is now about 15-16 last count. I started feeding mine this week instead of just relying on fish poop and food in the water column. I get tickled at their exaggerated feeding response.

Here's a picture of yours and mine right after I glued them to a frag plug.

It's like watching your kids grow up.

I feed mine about once a week. Anything with that crazy of a feeding response probably wants fed!
