I'm not sure, I haven't heard back from them. I dunno if it's because my order amount was $1,000 or something. But I haven't heard back from them. If they refund my money, I'll probably order from Bulk Reef Supply. Just kind of irritating. I was hoping to have my light up and going in the next few days. I've been waiting to order it for a couple of months.

I try to order large items from BRS as well. You'll get points which add up quickly with large purchases that you can use for future orders.

I have ordered from Marine Depot as well for some things and have always had good luck.

I'm ready to see those lights on your tank as well.

I have never had to call them. That just sounds weird.

Agree with both Johns. I did order one of my Vortechs and my ATO from Marine Depot because BRS was out of them when I ordered.

Yeah, this was the first time they've ever asked. They had no problem taking the money out of my account though lol. I am about to look into dosing, getting a controller, and tops for my tanks. I'll order all that from Bulk Reef Supply. I had ordered my Maxspect light from Marine Depot a few years ago, and I guess that's why I went with them. I didn't even look on bulk reef supply.

I just got an email from Marine Depot saying they cancelled my order. I'm not sure what happened. The money was taken out of my account. But I do know that I am not planning on ordering from them again. And if I get another magazine from them, I'll just use it in my finch cage.

Wow, that's disturbing! I've never had problems with Marine Depot. No explanation, no promise of a refund, they just cancelled the order? SMH!

They sent an email saying my money would be refunded in 3-5 days. I have no idea what they've got going on there. But I'm going to try bulk reef supply next. Hopefully I'll have a radion over my tank in a week.

I would bet they are out of stock and back ordered but you would have thought they would have said that.....or offered some explanation!

I agree. I probably wasn't too nice in my emails, but it's stupid to lose a customer over something like that.

So everybody be probably knows about the power outage last night. I just got home from work, and I can't get my return pump to suck water back into the display tank. It was working fine before the outage. I've got it soaking in vinegar to see if that helps.

I dunno what I did, but it is working again. I first took the pump apart and put it back in the tank. It still wasn't working, but I could hear it running. I then took another pump and pumped water into the display tank from the first chamber. It finally started. The siphon must've broke somehow when the electricity went off and the pump wasn't getting enough water from the display tank I guess?

Some return pumps are really ticky about stopping and then restarting. Being dirty can certainly cause it but it's also a design flaw in some pumps. What brand and model of pump do you have?

I'm not sure if it has a brand name on it or not. The next time I get it out, I'll look it over again. I will probably wind up investing in another return pump as backup, b/c it seems like it will be wise to have.

My lights should be here this week. I finally got a return from Marine Depot, and ordered from another company. I'll try to make a video of them over the tank next weekend. Also ordered a screen top kit to replace the glass top I currently have.

Look forward to see it all fixed up. Are you putting 2 Radions?

Smart move on the back up return. I decided to upgrade my return pump from 1000 gph to 1400 gph. The smaller one is my back up. I highly recommend the Sicce Syncra pumps. Super quiet and dependable. Mine is 3 years old and has been abused (I hate unhooking the plumbing to clean it) and has never missed a beat.

I could only afford one lol. If it turns out to not be enough, I will consider another one. I went with the Gen 3 xr30w pro. I tried to get the best one that I could.

One of the reefers from Jonesboro had the same tank as I've got, and is using a single radion. He's having success with it. My tank is the maximum size for their coverage claims, so I figure I better still watch the corners.

I just read "lights" instead of "light" and thought you were getting 2! I think one would be great especially for a mixed reef. SPS in the high par area and low light LPS and softies in outer low light areas!

That's the plan. I was doing to do all the sps higher up, and then zoas & lps on the bottom & sandbed. I think the only soft coral (other than zoas, rics, and maybe gsp) is the huge leather. I was afraid that if I added too many, it would affect the sps and lps. I'm running carbon of course, but figured this leather would leave a big footprint.
