I was able to get a picture without a clown in it.

Yours look awesome. Did it take a few days for the tentacles to fully extend?

Initially yes. Now it opens and closes completely on a daily basis.

Ok. I just want this one to grow to be that size eventually. Trying to make sure I'm meeting its requirements.

Here's a cellphone pic of mine. I've seen 3 mouths on it so far.

Yours has a lot more color than mine. Mine wasn't nearly that bright when I got it. It has gained some color but nothing like yours. My picture is also a cell phone pic. I took it with my Galaxy S3.

I got this at the Fish Bowl too. They must've recently got it in. A lot of the stuff I buy from there really colors up once I get it in my tank. I bet yours will too. But I like the cream looking one too. I've been reading where these used to be like the ultimate corals in the hobby. And then the ones from Indonesia pretty much wiped them all out in the hobby. I'd like to see them make a comeback and be the centerpieces of tanks. They are like the perfect mix of a torch and anemone.

I have been reading and a lot of people say to get rid of the clown if it is hosting in the Elegance because the Elegance cant eat. My clown tries to feed the Elegance. In fact, it treats the Elegance better than it does the RBTA. ironically, the clown never tried to host in anything until the Elegance showed up. The RBTA has been in there since May-ish. My other clown hosts in my Frogspawn and Hammer on the other side of the tank.

Does anybody know how to reduce micro bubbles from the protein skimmer? I'm getting a bunch from the display tank. I am using a reef octopus xp 1000sss

Have you tried to put a sponge in your sump after your protein skimmer and before your return?

Yeah, there's one in the baffle. Just checked. It fills the space of it up.

Can you take a picture of your sump?

This is the best I can do with no light under my tank. I purchased this tank used, so I'm hoping that I have everything setup right.

That last photo shows me what I was looking for, no bubbles. I don't think it is a sump problem. Is it possible that you have a have a small leak in your return pipe? I think that if it were air from the sump, a small air pocket would be visible in he 3rd picture down. In that picture it appears that the tube comes up from the return pump and then dips back down a little by the skimmer. Air should be trapped in that little spot before the dip. When did the bubble issue start? If I kill my return pump for mx, I have bubbles for a little while when I start the pump back up.

There's a hole in the pipe that goes into the bulkheads. I have it covered with foam to cut down on the noise. But I only get micro bubbles when the protein skimmer is on. If I don't run it, the bubbles go away. So I'd think it was an issue when it comes to that. But I am totally ignorant when it comes to plumbing, so I'm not sure.

And I wasn't going to add any leather corals, but I decided to add the one I got at reef fest because of its size:

Planning on ordering my radions this week. Can't wait to get them over this tank. Right now the light fixture only has whites & blue. The green slimmer I put in the tank is slowly coming back. I think my nitrates were too high in my other tank for it. (The canister filter is not SPS friendly). So hopefully the combination of radions and my sump in this tank will really help it.

Ordered my light, but I'm kinda upset with Marine Depot. I have to sleep during the day because of my job. I woke up half asleep today and checked my email. Marine Depot sent an email saying that they called & left me a voicemail (which they didn't). They said before they will ship the order, I have to call & verify it. I emailed them back, but never got a response from them. I emailed them if I'm going to have to go through so much hassle to get my order, I'll just order it from somewhere else. Just a little irritated with them at the moment.

I use Bulk Reef Supply for almost everything. Never had a problem with them. Great customer service.

Why did you need to call to confirm your order?
