    has anyone used one of these if so how do you like it? can anyone suggest a better one?

    I say drill the tank, always the better way.

    I use a LifeReef overflow.

    im not breaking it down to do that norm. but how do you like the lifereef is it easy to set up?

    I don't have any experience with the systems you are talking about, but I have used overflows before, and I would suggest that you get some type of aqualifter pump, so that you protect against losing your siphon.

    Make sure you take EVERY precaution to prevent that, because burned up pumps are expensive!! :(

    I too use lifereef overflows and they have been great.  They were easy to set up and in my opinion the best overflows out there for non drilled tanks.  Both of mine have the silencers and they are very quiet.  I think that they would serve you well.
