HERE SHE IS!!! Finally done. I do need some help with figuring out how to access the tank. I am thinking of doing the iron pipe from one of the previous pictures!

Maybe you could modify the lid for the front panel to lift up?

Are you planning on doing anything to fill the extra space next to the tank?

I think that would be my only option for the canopy.

For the extra space, when I get everything situated I will put pallet planks in to fit. I made the stand that size so that I could have some extra room underneath.

Yeah I knew you'd made it bigger for underneath but I didn't know if you'd planned to fill the space up top or not. That will look cool.

    Guess what!?!?!?!??!

I drilled a tank and didn't crack it!!!!!! Whooooooooo!!!!! Thanks to Glass-holes.com for the donation of their 700 with and Emergency overflow kit! They include wooden guides that help keep you on track and the drill bits that you need along with everything else! A great company and great products! Go check them out at Glass-holes.com!

I ordered this return pump. The only reason I got this one is because of the reviews. I will install a ball valve to control flow.

The overflow is rated for 700 gallons per hour and the pump 770. How do you determine the loss in gph via plumbing? This has always been a little confusing to me. Also how do you calibrate accordingly? Just sitting there watching it?

I have used www.freecalc.com/fricfram.htm as a good place to start. I have a few texts on fluid dynamics if'n you have a spare month or two to blow working Darcy-Weisbach or Navier-Stokes equations.

Goodness. It looks like I might have to go back to college to get a math degree! haha

That sheet is pretty plug and play. Should give you a pressure loss and head loss for a specified plumbing example.

Well I was talking about your Darcy-Weisbach/ Navier-stokes equations.

Im a graphic design major...I quit math! haha

Everyone has a place and a purpose. Those engi-nerds need someone to creatively market their mumbo-jumbo to get clients, lol.

    I need everyones opinion.

To paint the back of the tank black, or leave it alone....

I painted the back of my main tank black, but I used plasti-dip in case I want to change it or go back clear some day.

I think a lot of people use plasti dip. I was reading a tank build thread yesterday and the guy used 5% tint film. It wasn't completely black but it hid cords and all. Mine has some sort of film or something attached. Came that way though.

I was going to try tint, but I don't trust myself to get all the bubbles put of it or not absolutely butcher it.

I think I will go plasti dip, less invasive and easy to do. :)
