If I'm seeing this right, the meeting is on the 4th Saturday of the month this go round. Just making sure it's really on that date and not a typo. Definitely going to try and make it, whichever it is.
That is correct John. Trying to avoid spring break and vacations. Will be great to see you there world traveler!
That's really discouraging! We will be supplying the food (haven't decided what yet). Will need drinks and desserts. Everything else covered.
I am planning on making this meeting. I believe it was a year ago since I've seen David's tank. Excited to see the progress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Progress is probably the wrong word. LOL. I lost a big portion of my SPS back in Sept when my alkalinity dropped to 4.7 while Corey and I were on vacation. Starting to come back but not where it was a year ago.
Anybody going to the meeting that wants to trade this green monti for some kind of sps or zoa/paly? I fragged it down when I took down my other tank. The frag is a good size, probably 3 inches in length. My lights are too blue right now to get a photo. But this is when the coral was doing good in my old tank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey everybody. Slow down as you get to the curve before my house. The monsoon that came while we were on vacation caused the road to sink (think reverse speed bump). If you creep over it it shouldn't be any problem but you don't want to hit it going fast.
I've got Pizza coming (none of which has mushrooms so John C. doesn't kill himself!), cups, plates, napkins, ice. DC Harrington is bringing drinks. Desserts are the only thing we need. I will have Salt water (1.026) and RO/DI water. I have deli cups if whoever has the clubs doesn't want to mess with toting them. If anyone wants to discuss any particular topic or if anyone has questions we will try to have a time for that. Topics I thought about were : 1) fish acclimation and introduction 2) Coral acclimation to your tanks lighting 3) Quarantine or not? How to, why to.
Sounds great Doc. I will have Jennifer with me. But Alyssa isn't coming. I'll pick up some creme puffs in the AM to bring Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
Does anyone want me to bring my frag stuff for tomorrow's meeting? I can mount your coral on a plug, disc, or rubble. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
That would be great John. Since David won't be there we need someone to frag (unless Jason wants to).
A big shout to David for hosting today! It's always nice to see such successful , beautiful tanks. It was great seeing some old friends and new faces as well. Looking forward to the next one.
Had a great time today! Thanks to Doc for hosting! The pyramid ate well tonight and seems pretty happy in his new home.
He's really adaptable. They get a bad rap as hard to keep but once they make it through shipping (they are poor shippers) and acclimate to tank life they are really hardy fish. Any fuss from his tank mates? Great turnout! Good to see the new faces. Enjoyed the discussion, hope we get more questions or topics to talk about in the future. Sharing info and experience is vital for our hobby.
