Didn't realize till the other day that Pet Country in Conway was a dealer (thanks to Corey I was told). Fed it for the first time tonight and it definitely is cleaner than Rod's. Fish seemed to like it. Quite a few big chunks but enough small pieces for my smaller wrasses and firefish. Are there any other dealers in central Arkansas?

I have tried both and use both now; I actually prefer the Rods because it's not so clean, if that makes sense. My corals go crazy with Rods, Larry's is so clean they don't even feed. On a seperate note, I read an article this week about feeding fresh seafood to tank, not a good idea since it often has parasite that can transfer to your fish. Sushi anyone?

Thanks folks for your patronage and use of our products. The article you read was correct that adding fresh seafood to tanks is not a good idea. However, our foods are frozen at -30 during the "curing" process and stored at below -10 until they are shipped. Freezing for 8+ hours is generally accepted as a safe method to kill parasites. It is common practice in many public aquariums to have a protocol where inbound orders of seafood are kept frozen for a minimum of a week or two before being used as a food.

While the freezing kills the parasites it doesn't kill the beneficial probiotic bacteria added in our foods and instead slows down the replication process and they go dormant until brought back up above freezing.

Our foods are currently being fed in an aquaculture program in Hawaii as explained in this link and have become the "preferred" food for many discriminating hobbyists, including this month's Tank of the Month Winner on Reef Central.

We'll Pet Country is out and doesn't know when they will get anymore. Anybody want to try again for a group buy? I'll have it shipped to my house and distribute it from there.

ReefFrenzy, how many units do we have to order?

I spoke with the owner of Pet Country this weekend and a new order is on the way for delivery mid-week.

I would prefer to honor our commitment to the stores which carry our products and not do a group order to a residence. However, if enough people wish to do a pre-order and assemble an order of say 25-25 packs I can certainly talk with Pet Country about passing on a bulk discount so they can shave a couple bucks off the per pack price. In cities where we have stocking dealers we try and keep both the club and store owners happy by coordinating group orders for delivery and pick up at a store. Thanks for your understanding.

I got the donation for Reef Splash last week from Larry. I will say the shipping was excellent. Packs were kept so cold during shipping there wasn't even moisture on the outside of the packages. Larry threw in a sample and asked me to give an honest review. Fish liked it, LPS had no problem choking down. I like it (I didn't eat any). It's fish food so not much else to say. I do like the fact of not worrying about phosphates or rinsing because of crapy water. So good food, awesome shipping.

Wish the Little Rick stores would carry it.

As a family business our resources for "cold calling" new stores is limited, especially due to the growing volume of inbound inquiries. Please feel free to email or PM me the name or contact info for your local fish store and we will make an effort to get them pricing and samples. Also, in an area where we have no stocking dealer, such as Little Rock we can ship direct for as little as $12 and include a sample for you to personally drop off at the store. Once the staff actually get our foods in their hands it sells itself.

    Thanks!

PS- Just to give you an idea of some of the finicky clients who use our foods on a daily basis, check out this thread on Reef Central. Ted "Humaguy" has one of the most impressive collections of rare angels in the country and he posted a feeding demo on this link: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2002370&highlight=reef+frenzy&page=120

We surely don't want to interfere with the LFS relationship. Great to hear they will be getting it in. I'll be buying a couple of packs later in the week.
