Hey everyone during these last months not having meetings and also not being able to just chat. I have been up to no good yet again!! As the title states I have moved over to a calcium reactor. This is because my corals are growing like crazy and my kalk reactor and 2 part isn't keeping up with the tanks demand without dosing crazy amounts of each. EX. 3400 mL of kalk is being dosed daily. I went the following for equipment: Geo 618 with a Geo 415 secondary chamber Green leaf aquatics GLA- PRO 1 CO2 regulator found a 5 lb CO2 bottle from a home brewing site Feed pump for now is a sicce 1.5 but will upgrade to a kamoer or versa Media Two-little fishes Re-mag Addictive reef keepings crushed coral rubble for main chamber Addictive reef keepings crushed coral pea sized for secondary
Well all the parts are in and the reactor is installed. I am giving it a couple days to get itself normalized and producing the right concentration. Here is a picture of the reactor under the tank. I will likely have the Precision marine Kalk reactor for sale and it is just slightly bigger than the main calcium reactor chamber.....meaning that it is a beast of a reactor.
Running like a champ I can't believe how well this reactor works and why I was waiting so long to get one......maybe it was my bank account and not me......NON THE LESS I have noticed my alk being stable and also I have seen some of the media starting to dissolve mainly because the media level is goin down in the main chamber!
