i do not have the money to buy a rodi unit right now. So I understand the process of too many nutrients and light feeding the algae. And i know tap water is probably causing the issue. With that being said is there any way to resolve the Jaír algae without an rodi? Also to add I do a 30 percent water change every week or sometimes every two weeks.

Most of the fish stores around here sell RO/DI water priced pretty reasonably.

I agree, I would get ro/di water at a local fish store or buy distilled water gallons from Walmart since you dont have a huge volume. Anything would be better then tap water.

  8. I would pick a water change schedule and stick to it. Consistency is the most important part. Also are you ever in Cabot area? If so bring me some jugs and I will hook you up with RODI.
